Lollipop Ladies & Chocolate Cupcakes - with swirls

Hi Ladies
Another fortnight has passed and you know what that means
another sweet challenge at Lollipop Ladies.
This week has been one of my fav's, chocolate cupcakes.
Who doesn't love those? Your bonus challenge is swirls.
Personally I love swirls of cream on my chocco cupcakes.
What do you like to have with your choc cupcakes?
Here is what I came up with for the challenge.
I was inspired by the colour chocolate and for my bonus
I used chipboard swirls, which I have left raw as
I felt it sat well on the page without anything
done to them. I used Kaisercraft papers
bazzill cardstock, Kaisercraft pearls and
Paper Inklings chipboard accents.

Make sure you head on over to Lollipop Ladies and
take a look at what all the other amazing
design team ladies came up. You are sure to be
inspired by all the talent.

Nuts about sketches #135 & #136

Hello Ladies
Long time no blog. I have a very sick child which
makes it a little hard to keep up with blogging & things of that nature.
I have two pages to share, this first page is my Nuts about Sketches #136.
A double page layout, which I always find challenging.
The photo's I used on this page were taken at
Palm Cove Beach in August of this year.
Head on over to the site and check out the sketches I would
love to see what you come up with.

The page below is a catch up for Nuts about sketches.
This was for a single page sketch and I have used
Kaisercraft papers from the Lush range.
These images were taken by Romy Photography
during the Greenway's Dance Festival in Innisfail Qld.

I hope to get back on track with life soon.
I just need my baby to get better first.

I am a Candy Stripe.

I am here to reveal that I am a CANDY STRIPE!

I am now a design team member for The Lollipop Ladies.
Along with these amazing ladies
& Me

How Exciting!
This fortnight the sweet inspiration was Jellybeans with a touch of gloss.
I was inspired by the old days of school fete's. Remember when you
would pay 20c and then get to guess how many jellybeans in the jar?
So I decided to make a jellybean jar and for some reason
(I have no idea why)
but it turned into a jellybean monster.
My added gloss was on the word jellybeans
I put dimension magic over each letter to give them a glossy raised look.
Here is the picture for inspiration

and here is my take

Now please come on over and check out what my other Design team members
have created, they are all such a talented group of ladies.
Come on and have a go see what sweet inspiration you can come up with.
There is a winner every week and always great prizes.

Nuts about Sketches Reveal

Hello Ladies
Here is my weekly reveal for Nuts about Sketches.
This week was a double page layout which scared me a little
but once I got started my creative brain took over
& I thoroughly enjoyed doing this layout.
It took some time to complete but well worth the effort.
I used silver 12x12 sheets (unknown brand), then basic gray spotted paper.
I used sequins to match the costume in the photo's.
The four images across the bottom of my pages had,
not only my daughter but other children in the dance.
So to point out which one was baby I hand cut out stars to place
over her. I really like how they look.
The title is a chipboard element I picked up at a craft fair
in Townsville, it only cost me a couple of dollars.
I just LOVE a BARGAIN!!!!

Make sure you head on over and have a look at the sketch
and check out some of the amazing pages from our DT.

Nuts About Sketches #130

Hi Ladies

Just wanted to show you my take on this
week's sketch over at Nuts about Sketches.
I love these photo's of my girl, she is so funny sometimes.
I used Sassafras paper Serendipity-Gum Drop Garden,
blue bazzill cardstock, Heidi Swapp Self Glitter Letters,
American Crafts button, asstd buttons & ribbon.
I am happy with most of the page, I think I could have done
a better job with the journalling. I am really not happy with
my lack of imagination in that department.
Get on over to NAS and check out the sketch & see
what all the other DT members have done with it.
Better yet why don't you have a go at the sketch.
If you do please leave a comment with your blog address
I would love to check it out.

Well I hope you all had a productive & relaxing weekend.

Have a lovely week & remember

Wee Memories Challenge

Thought I would enter this challenge over at ...wee Memories.
This week the theme for cardmaking is Tutti Frutti.
I remembered I had this great sticker from Cosmo Cricket range DeLovely.
I just love it sooo cute....
Head on over and check out this gorgeous blog, it is so inspirational.
The DT team make the most gorgeous cards every week.
I have never had the courage to enter any of the challenges but I felt a little
more confident when I saw the challenge was tutti frutti
and my pear sticker came to mind. I have been chomping at the bit to use it.
I used Cosmo Cricket DeLovely patterned papers, white bazzill cardstock.
My birds were made with Stampin' Up punch and I punched in
two different colours and then layered the bird to add dimension.
I then distress inked all the edges with Tim Holtz walnut stain.
I also added a lovely light blue nylon ribbon so my little birdies
had somewhere to perch.
Hope you all like, please feel free to leave any comments
I love to hear from other papercrafters.

Nuts about Sketches Reveal

Hi Ladies
My new Nuts about Sketches layout reveal.
This sketch was a double layout but I
seriously do not have enough photos at the moment
to complete one. So I decided to work of the left side
of the sketch. This is the sketch I had to work on.

Here is my take on that sketch.
I have used Cosmo Cricket range "DeLovely".
(One of my fav's)!!!!!!!!!
There is so much going on with the patterned paper
I decided to keep the page as simple as possible.
I am really happy with it and my model Daughter
thinks it's great, so I guess that's all that matters!

Head on over to Nuts About Sketches
and check out what the rest of the DT have done.

Especially for Carmel!

Hi Ladies & Miss Carmel
Here is the page I promised.
I changed my whole idea and went with something new.
This is my take on a sketch from Anna Bowlis from the blog Pencil Lines.
I used a stamp from Stampin' up and embossed it to be a part of my title.
I love this photo so much, it is of me & my little cousin Carmel
it was taken on New Years Day 2000 at my sister's wedding.
One of my favourites ever!
I chose a simple design because I wanted it to be all about the photo.
Hope you like it and I will be back shortly to reveal my new
page for Nuts about Sketches. Until then
Give thanks to tree's & spread the love!

A Father's Day Card

Hello my fellow paper artists

Just wanted to post a pic of the father's day card
I made for my husband.
He looked at what I made him and he said
" baby I can't believe how much effort you went to"
How sweet, I was grateful that my DH acknowledged my time & effort
Honey you are a sweety, and you are always grateful for what I do for you.
Thank you for being a wonderful husband & father.
(I am a seriously lucky girl)!

Hope you all had a lovely father's day yesterday!

My poor Hubbie worked so I visited my lovely cousin

and we had a craft day (not much crafting got done though).

We were too busy chatting!

Back to post some layouts soon.

Challenge #6

Hi Ladies
My husband finally left the building and I
was able to photograph my completed challenge.
It is not a very good effort but all I had time for this week.
I saw this somewhere on the internet (can't remember where)
and I downloaded the free pattern for future reference.
So here is my M&M packed little shirt & Tie 3d Project.

I made this little tag using a Stampin' up stamp.
I tried to tie it so it would hang at the front
but it just didn't work so I decided to place it on the back.
Not my best effort but I know my hubbie will love the M&M's inside.

I am glad that challenge is over, who's idea was that? LOL!

Till the next challenge

The lollipop ladies #2 Challenge

Hi ladies
The lollipop ladies challenge this fortnight was
to be inspired by this cupcake.
Add some ruffles was the bonus challenge.
Thinking cap on!

Well I thought about it for a while and decided
I wanted to do something a bit different.
So I decided I wanted to make something you put a cupcake into.
Then I experimented with boxes, which would work fine by the way.
Anyway I decided on a cupcake stand, I thought there is
no reason why you couldn't make one from paper.
So here is my cupcake stand.

It took a few goes to get it right and it still could be improved
but I have run out of time so here it is.
I added ruffle on the edge for my bonus.
I also stamped a little message on the top
so that when you lift up your cupcake
you get a sweet little surprise!
I hope you like it!!! Now I just need a cupcake!

I used is from Kaisercraft.
I also made the little twirlies coming out of the flowers, by hand.
I just love handmade embellies!

The forgotten page

Here is a page I completed earlier this year and
for some reason I forgot to post it.
This page is about my niece.
I took this photo 2 xmas's ago when all of my hubbies family
went camping at the beautiful Airlie Beach.
We had a great time and I cannot wait to go back,
although it was extremely hot so maybe a different time of the year.
When doing this page I could not find a cat anywhere
so I decided to make my own.
I got the image from a friend and then made my own
paper pieced cat, isn't it cute!!!!

My Challenge #4

I'm late I'm late for a very important date. So sorry ladies.
I don't want to make excuses but I have been sick,
so I am a little behind. Oh well better late than never!
Here is my page for challenge #4.
I love this photo of my daughter because you can
really see the different colours in her eyes.
She has the most unusual eyes I have ever seen, they are beautiful.
Even if I say so myself, Lol!
Once again I have made my own paper flowers
it really is my favourite thing to do!
I decided to use the heart stamp and I did two stamps,
cut them out and layered them with dimensional dots.
I love the colours in these Bo Bunny papers and they
matched the colours in the photo perfectly!

Hope you like my page and please leave a comment
I love hearing from others, good or constructive criticism is always welcome.

unlike me who only finished last night.
The challenge was to do a 12x12 scrapbook page
use at least 1 patterned paper
Stampin' Up "A happy heart" stamp set
1 piece of ribbon
at least 3 rhinestones.

My daughter loves her Daddy so much,
she never does pages about me (boo hoo).

Hi

Just getting my challenge in at the last minute. It is not good when you get old and your memory goes. I almost forgot to upload it. I hope I am not to late.

I was inspired by the colours and the cherry.

The boy is mine!!!!

Here is a page I finished today about my gorgeous hubbie.
The amazing thing is I started it yesterday,
it usually takes me at least 3 days to get a page done.
I am very proud of myself.
I took this image of my gh about 2 weeks ago, on his birthday actually.
I love it because he looks so natural, just being himself.
The title I stole from a song back in the 90's, I just can't remember
who the singers were ( I know it was 2 female singers).
If you can help me out with that please do.

Well I have a new challenge to get done and I really need to start on the

Lollipop Ladies challenge too.

Challenge #3

WOW! I really found this one difficult.
I don't use black very often in my papercrafting
so it was a little challenging for me.
Anyways I came up with this card.
I wanted to make my own paper flowers
because they have more personality than the bought ones.
I also had a little trouble with my white stampin' up ink,
it doesn't seem to stamp very well.
Maybe it's me, yeah it's probably me.

Thanks for reading my blog.
Leave me a message with a link to your blog I would love to have a
look at what you are all up to.
